Kantaflex is the brand name of PVC Water Stops made by Kanta Polymer and they are made out of plastic compound with a basic resin of polyvinyl chloride and additional resins, plasticizers, inhibitors which satisfies the performance characteristics specified as per applicable IS standards.
In addition to that, the product is designed to meet to the international standard in regard to the properties of specific density, tensile strength, ultimate elongation, cold bend and resistance to alkalis. The Kantaflex PVC Water Stop is tested in accordance with IS: 8543 as well as ASTM Standard.
Kantaflex PVC Water stop is a right solution for expansion and contraction joint in RCC Structures in order to minimize the water seepage and to take care of the structure deformation respectively. Most of the concrete structures have contraction, expansion and construction joints. Joints can be path of unwanted matters, liquids, solids and gaseous substances to enter and pass through the concrete joints and possibly cause damage to the integrity and serviceability of Hydraulic structures. Kantaflex Water stop are used as a primary line of defense against passage of these substances to avoid any future damages to the concrete structures.
Kantaflex PVC Waterstops are profiles based on specifically formulated plasticised PVC composition. waterstops are used in concrete masonry construction of hydraulic structures to safeguard from hydrostatic pressure and water seepage. Waterstops also withstand expansion or contraction of joint and take care of any deflection or displacement arising due to change in temperature or settlement of foundation eliminating danger of cracks. these are engineered as waterright seals in poured concrete structures. The waterstops are tested in the factory as per ASTM, and the performance requirement of water stops standard specifications IS : 15058/2002.
